For general purpose applications, Neoprene (Polychloroprene, Chloroprene, CR) is noted for its versatility. It can display very good resistance to ozone, oxygen, sunlight, alkalis, and acids. Neoprene inherently demonstrates good flame resistance. It can offer good tensile strength, resilience and moderate oil and gasoline resistance.
